For the meantime, I would like to mention that I succesfully use the packages from Kanotix, which are also available from my private repository at http://www.joachim-reichel.de/debian/sid .
Please don't get me wrong. I strongly welcome a proper package in the official archive (even if non-free). I just want to help people that need a (temporary) solution *now*.
