Shed stands for Simple Hex Editor which I have written
and maintained for the last 4 years. It has a simple
curses pico-style interface, and shows bytes in dec,
hex, oct and binary. It is released under the GPL 2.
It seems to be quite popular (approaching 13000
downloads), and is in the gentoo emerge system. Now
that I've started using Debian, I thought I'd submit
it here. It can be downloaded from
