Package: libccid Version: 1.0.1-2 Severity: normal My Dell D420 has an Oz776 smart card reader, but libccid refuses to use it; debug mode shows
Firmware (1.10) is bogus! Upgrade the reader firmware or get a new reader. However, ccid_usb.c has since 2004 sometime read: + { 0x0b97, 0x7762, 0x0111 }, /* Oz776S */ /* the firmware version if not correct since I don't have received a working reader yet */ If I force libccid to accept the firmware (by setting ifdDriverOptions to 0x0004 in /etc/libccid_Info.plist), it works just fine; at least I can happily use my OpenPGP card. Please update the firmware bogosity list so this works out of the box :-) -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16trofastxen Locale: LANG=en_DK.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_DK.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages libccid depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6-15 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libusb-0.1-4 2:0.1.12-2 userspace USB programming library Versions of packages libccid recommends: pn pcscd <none> (no description available) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
