However, I've looked at the differences between the 2.18 and 2.20 packages and the differences are mostly cosmetic. I believe the problem you are experiencing is due to the Debian 2.x packages defaulting to "x-terminal-emulator" for the "default.terminal" configuration variable. Your system's x-terminal-emulator probably points (via the alternatives mechanism) to gnome-terminal or another terminal emulator that is incompatible with clusterssh. You should be able to continue to use the Debian package by either updating x-terminal-emulator to point to xterm, or (preferably) by setting default.terminal in your ~/.csshrc file to xterm.
