Hello Maintaner/Upstream,
cdvolume works curently if the parameter is an integer of 0 to 255.
Please add the option +/- to the parameter to let $USER increase or
decrease the volume like
cdvolume -10
cdvolume +5
...
But since the options -0 to -9 already exist, what about the prefix
d(decrease) and i(ncrease) like
cdvolume d10
cdvolume i5
This can then be used on "very light desktops" with multimedia
keyboards without the need of heavy X tools.
Currently I use a wraper, which invokes "cam" but its not a real
solution since it must store the current value in a file.
Example of my Fvwm-Config:
key XF86AudioStop A N Exec cdplay stop
key XF86AudioPrev A N Exec cdplay -
key XF86AudioNext A N Exec cdplay +
key XF86AudioPause A N Exec cdplay resume
key XF86AudioMedia A N Exec cdplay eject
Which could be "cdplay toggletray" (previous wish)
key XF86AudioMute A N Exec tdcamvol --mute
Can be "cdvolume 0"
key XF86AudioLowerVolume A N Exec tdcamvol --lower 5
key XF86AudioRaiseVolume A N Exec tdcamvol --raise 5
And here my wish: "cdvolume d5" and "cdvolume i5"
