Package: acpid Version: 1.0.4-5 Severity: wishlist Tags: patch The current output of the acpid init script is a bit too verbose imho. Every single module that is loaded is print to stdout (which is mostly only interesting for debugging purposes) /etc/default/rcS defines the variable VERBOSE. It would make sense to output this additional information only, if VERBOSE is set to yes. The ubuntu acpid init script already does this, so I'm attaching this file and you might consider to just use this file. In addition it uses lsb functions for improved output, so you should add a runtime dependency on lsb-base.
