Package: gramofile
Version: 1.6-6
Severity: normal

Main menu says:

       6. Play a sound file
         Play a sound file
          (Parts of) sound files can be played with this option.

...which leads to a submenu which lets the user pick a sound file. However
this feature will "play" ANYTHING -- .jpg files, .html files, .gif files,
it presumes some default sound format and plays it; so a .jpg results
in a static sound. Genuine sound formats like .mp3 produce
static too.

It'd be better if either the feature description was more accurate, ("play
any file as though it were a .WAV"), or if the program refused to play any file
it didn't know how to play, or didn't select or list any such file.

Hope this helps...
