Fair enough, though I find it hard to imagine what other settings are logcheck-specific, and syntax highlighting would be nice, but probably quite hard. It's on my list to do, along with the cleanup of all the hacks and cruft that stowed up in almost 11 years of vi/vim use, but I just don't know when I can get to it.
