Package: xpdf-reader Version: 3.00-12 Severity: normal Tags: upstream Hello,
when I start xpdf, it _always_ scans the current directories. This is a) not neccessary b) sucks very much if you have a lot of files and/or symlinks pointing to remote filesystems or suspended disks I looked at the source but cannot get it now. Strace displays even two rounds of file stating. May come from some library but I do not see where exactly.
