Package: bash
Version: 3.1-5
Followup-For: Bug #384025
After
bind -r '\M-\C-i'
the U-umlaut key ("Ü") does not work correctly anymore. If typed once,
nothing happens, if one types another character thereafter, both
characters (U-umlaut plus the character after it) appear immediately.
Feels a bit like using the compose key, which also needs two characters
to print anything.
Again, in Sarge's "bash3" package, everything works fine; the U-umlaut
key still works perfectly after removing the above binding.
