Package: xfig Version: 1:3.2.5-alpha5-7 Severity: normal xfig seems to have lpr as hard-coded print command. This will fail to work if CUPS is installed without the cupsys-bsd package (in which case 'lp' is the print command, not 'lpr'). I suggest using lp if present (that should also work with BSD printing, since Xfig does not print pure text), and falling back to lpr.
If that's not possible, please suggest cupsys-bsd | lpd | lprng If it is possible, I think you might also want to suggest the printing commands, but as cupsys-client | cupsys-bsd | lpd | lprng -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (750, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (250, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17-2-686 Locale: LANG=en_GB, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages xfig depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-2 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libice6 1:1.0.0-3 X11 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libjpeg62 6b-13 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libpng12-0 1.2.8rel-5.2 PNG library - runtime ii libsm6 1:1.0.0-4 X11 Session Management library ii libx11-6 2:1.0.0-8 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 1:1.0.0-4 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxi6 1:1.0.0-5 X11 Input extension library ii libxmu6 1:1.0.1-3 X11 miscellaneous utility library ii libxpm4 1:3.5.4.2-3 X11 pixmap library ii libxt6 1:1.0.0-5 X11 toolkit intrinsics library ii xaw3dg 1.5+E-14 Xaw3d widget set ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-13 compression library - runtime Versions of packages xfig recommends: ii transfig 1:3.2.5-alpha7-3 Utilities for converting XFig figu ii xfig-libs 1:3.2.5-alpha5-7 XFig image libraries and examples -- no debconf information -- .''`. martin f. krafft <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> : :' : proud Debian developer, author, administrator, and user `. `'` http://people.debian.org/~madduck http://debiansystem.info `- Debian - when you have better things to do than fixing systems
