Package: kdm Version: 4:3.5.4-2 Severity: important Hi,
When booting up my laptop, kdm is automatically launched and greets users with the login window (user list on the left side) but doesn't let people use the keyboard. Typing username or password doesn't show anything on screen. Mouse works fine though and let choose login names. If I drop down Menu button and choose Console session, I can login as root, do a /etc/init.d/kdm restart and then the keyboard works again within kdm. I'm stuck as to the origin of the behaviour, most of all because it would also kdm behaviour isn't idempotent ?
