Package: apt-listchanges
Severity: important
Version: 2.62

Hi

apt-listchanges bails out with the following message when I upgraded today:

[former apt output]
Reading changelogs... Done
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/apt-listchanges", line 210, in ?
    main()
  File "/usr/bin/apt-listchanges", line 179, in main
    frontend.display_output(changes)
  File "/usr/share/apt-listchanges/apt_listchanges.py", line 430, in
display_output
    tmp.write(self._render(text))
  File "/usr/share/apt-listchanges/apt_listchanges.py", line 367, in _render
    newtext.append(uline.encode(locale.getlocale()[1], 'replace'))
TypeError: encode() argument 1 must be string, not None
Preconfiguring packages ...
[further apt output]

Normally it would just show me the appropriate changelog entries in the console
where I invoked the upgrade...

Cheers

Luk
