I haven't pursued this very much, but I think these patches floating around the net is the one to make elilo working on Macbooks. [PATCH 1/1] Add efi e820 memory mapping on x86 [try #1] http://lkml.org/lkml/2006/7/16/17 So, it's probably a kernel issue.
