Package: irssi Version: 0.8.10-2 Severity: normal
Irssi produces frequent warnings from scripts when warnings are enabled. The problem is already added in the irssi bug database with number 242 (http://bugs.irssi.org/index.php?do=details&id=242&area=comments#tabs), but is marked as Unconfirmed because it is claimed to be unreproducible, and thus caused by an installation problem. I can assure you it is reproducible in debian unstable, both on i386 and amd64. Steps to reproduce: * start irssi * connect and join a channel with people in it * type this: /script exec use warnings; Irssi::windows; -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17-1-amd64-k8 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=nb_NO (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages irssi depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6-15 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libglib2.0-0 2.10.3-3 The GLib library of C routines ii libncurses5 5.5-2 Shared libraries for terminal hand ii libperl5.8 5.8.8-6.1 Shared Perl library ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8b-2 SSL shared libraries ii perl 5.8.8-6.1 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction ii perl-base [perlapi-5.8.8] 5.8.8-6.1 The Pathologically Eclectic Rubbis irssi recommends no packages. -- debconf-show failed -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
