Joerg, As mentioned on -devel/-legal[1] recently and seen in #384019, the license[2] of Vim's user/reference manual is one that has previously been suggested to be non-free. Anthony Towns doubted the voracity of those claims[3] and suggested we contact you to provide another opinion on the matter. As stated in the bug, the manual makes no use of the more problematic License Options. Could you provide your take on the matter? Is Vim's manual distributable in main or do we need to move it to non-free?
The license URL in Vim's help is incorrect and has been brought to the attention of upstream. The URL in footnote 2 is the correct URL.
