The reason why I did this is to depend on libsdl alsa. I don't remember why depending on libsdl1.2debian-alsa was not possible. Alsa has the necessary software to play sound notifications without grabing the sound card device. Could you tell me exactly why this is a problem ? I understand that it would be nice to have a minimal dependency but is there another reason ?
