Dang! I've just made my own packages with these patches applied, and they made the world of a difference!!
Previosly, valknut krashed my whole machine (sid, PegasOS - PPC) just after a few minutes running. Now it's (valknut) have been running for about 10-15 minutes and downloads exactly like I was hoping it should (it didn't previosly - more or less instantly it tried downloading something, the machine crashed). Please don't ask me to find out WHICH patch did the difference! :) -- Why can't programmers tell the difference between halloween and christmas day?
