Might I suggest that you tag pending any bugs that you have fixed in your sources (and sent to your sponsor), so that others see that it is in the process of being fixed? It might help avoid these sorts of misunderstandings. (Personally, I tag a bug pending immediately after making the changelog entry for the fix in my own sources.)
