Another one just discovered: With this xkb settings:

        Option          "XkbRules"      "xorg"
        Option          "XkbModel"      "microsoft"
        Option          "XkbLayout"     "ca"
        Option          "XkbOptions"    "compose:menu,altwin:left_meta_win"

ctrl+_ (the default binding of "undo") in emacs doesn't work. It just
types a '_'. Again, switching to "X Input Method" solves this.
