i can reproduce the problem, but unless someone else on the team thinks
otherwise don't plan to change this behaviour unless the upstream
authors decide to do the same. feel free to report this to them in
their BTS, and if you do so please forward me the URL to the report
and i'll add it to the information for this bug.
