Package: readline-common Version: 5.1-7 Severity: normal Package conflicts with libreadline4 from stable. The minimum acceptable version of libreadlin4 only exists in unstable for kfreebsd-i386 and its source code seems to be unavailable so rebuilding for a different architecture is not an option.
The final outcome is that all packages that depend on libreadline4 are uninstalled once a single package dependent on readline-common is installed. For most this is not a problem as testing includes suitable upgrades. However, it makes mysql-server-4.1 uninstallable as that one has no equivalent in testing. Upgrading to mysql-server-5.0 may not be feasible for some people as MySQL 5 holds to a different SQL standard. In addition, mysql-server-5.0 may not be installable if an older database table format was still in active use. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (300, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.16-2-k7 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
