IMO, the following precedence should be used: --umlargs (highest precedence, allow even rootstrap --umlargs "eth0=shoot,me,in,the,foot ubd1=/dev/null") mem=... (if we had one; same precedence as e.g. networking options generated from [networking]) umlargs=...
