Probably means it depends on how long you have had the device running.
On most 64 bit hosts you will see an uptime over the 32 bit limit
if the device has been running for long enough.

This limitation is listed in many, many places. This is one reference

What I need from you is the output of uptime showing this
problem AND /proc/uptime

If /proc/uptime shows something bigger than 2^32 and uptime says 
something less than 497 days then there is a real bug in procps.
