I prefer to work with mouse alone, or keyboard alone, but not switch too often. If I create a new entry with Ctrl-N, I get a dialog in which I can select the entry type. "Article" is already preselected, but pressing ENTER has no effect. Even not after moving forth and back a bit. I have to use the mouse to select "Article".
The mapping of keys to the various widgets is handled by the Look-and-Feel in Java Swing. When you run JabRef on Windows it uses the Windows settings, and all normal buttons react to both Enter and Space. Under Linux a platform-independent look-and-feel is used, and under that buttons apparently only respond to Space (so: pressing space is basically the workaround for this issue). I am adding a mapping for Enter on Linux in addition to Space. Unless this turns out to cause unexpected problems, this should be fixed in the next version of JabRef (unless Gregor decides to patch the Debian package sooner). -- Morten (upstream) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
