Package: alsa-base Version: 1.0.8-7 Severity: important Hi,
after upgrading to kernel 2.6.11.2 I was unable to insmod alsa kernel-modules. dmesg prints out snd: Unknown parameter `device_mode' and a whole bunch of kernel symbols missing. This was caused by the line options snd device_mode=0660 in the /etc/modules.conf file. So at least I would expect that you state this in the News.gz file in the next version of alsa-base so that people have the chance to get knowledge of this change. Perhaps you ask alsa-upstream for more information on that topic.
