Once there is a version of pam in testing that is sufficient for the etch
release, and there is no further need of using unstable for pam updates for
etch.

Yes, that is one of the two fixes that I'll be including in my next upload.

Thanks for the offer, but given that pam is one package where I'm unwilling
to trust any patches given to me by other people without a *lot* of thought
and review, I don't believe that there's anything you can do here to help.
