It would be great if there was a way to tell Gaim to ignore all groups and show all contacts in flat, ungrouped format. Many IM programs have such a feature but Gaim, which is my favorite, does not seem to. (Why would I like this feature? I just chose the "sort buddies by log size" option but my buddies are still shown in groups. I guess those groups are now sorted by log size. However, since I have so many tiny groups, including ones with the default names from various IM services (General, Friends, Buddies, and Contacts), this sorting does not tell me much about who I converse with the most.) -- Jason Spiro: computer consulting with a smile.
