I have the problem but with few differences in config with previous posters : I use the LDAP backend I have tried to delete winbindd.pid and the winbindd_privileged/ (pipe and socket) before restarting the service with no effect regarding the bug : [2006/09/26 14:38:00, 0] auth/auth_util.c:create_builtin_administrators(785) create_builtin_administrators: Failed to create Administrators [2006/09/26 14:38:00, 2] auth/auth_util.c:create_local_nt_token(899) create_local_nt_token: Failed to create BUILTIN\Administrators group!
