according to the two bugs reported, I am using successfuly following
aliases in

  __( '~/.bashrc' )_____________________________________________________
 /
| alias mc='xterm-title.sh mc'
| alias mutt='xterm-title.sh mutt'
 \______________________________________________________________________

And the modified wraper script is as gnuzip file attached
because some ESCAPE Sequences.

You should put it into: "/usr/X11R6/bin/xterm-title.sh".

..and it works like expected. It restores the xterm title.

It can be included in the package "mc".
