The warning you get is only due to the fact that your version was
uploaded just yesterday and reportbug did not really get the update.

Your problem is caused by the fact that as a response to bug 386360 [1]
I moved python-xml from the Recommends: field to Suggests: which means
a dependency of lower priority. It seems that your apt is configured to
ignore this type of dependency.

I'm - again as also in bug #328423 [2] - a bit lost what to do, since moving
these packages to Suggests: leads to problems as yours while I think
that it is correct concerning debian policy. Keeping them in Recommends:
makes the use of inkscape easier for people using a default installation
of debian. Perhaps a better solution would be to take Suggests: into
account per default on desktop installations.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Wolfi
