Package: gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg Version: 0.10.1-2 Severity: normal
It took me quite a while to figure out why ffenc-mpeg4 wasn't working -- it's been disabled. It would be very useful if the documentation could reflect this. The web page at http://packages.debian.org/unstable/libs/gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg claims "The plugin contains GStreamer elements for encoding 40+ formats (MPEG, DivX, MPEG4, AC3, DV, ...)", but in fact it doesn't contain any. I take it the discussion about whether this is necessary has already taken place; it seems odd every single one had to go.
