Package: pbuilder
Version: 0.158
Severity: normal
Hi,
I tried
$ pdebuild --buildresult=`dirname $PWD`
Error: Unknown option
[--buildresult=/home/tillea/debian-maintain/schulung/mpi-schulung] was
specified
which conflicts to the text of the manpage.
--buildresult [Directory for build results]
The place which build result is stored.
Note that for pdebuild, buildresult needs to be specified as
pdebuild
option in the command-line, not as pbuilder option.
Note that the default value for buildresult is what is
defined for
pbuilder, /var/cache/pbuilder/result and not ..
The same is true for pbuilder 0.159 from unstable.
I would be happy if there would be any other chance to use ".." as
result directory, but the man page pbuilderrc.5 says explicitely
BUILDRESULT=/var/cache/pbuilder/result/
Specify the default directory which the build result will be
copied over
to after the building.
Unlike --buildresult command-line option. The path is not
canonicalized,
so you should specify a full-path, not a relative path.
BTW, is there anything wrong to use ".."? I'm just asking this because
pbuilder is that hard to convince to use what seems default for other
building tools.
Kind regards and thanks for maintaining pbuilder
Andreas.
