It looks like libmpich-p4mpd1.0 is obsolete, though I can't find any clear
indication of this in the mpich changelog. In any case, there seems to be
problems with a graceful upgrade from older versions of mpich. I have not
taken the time to investigate in detail. However, hopefully the problem will
be clearer to you. Perhaps a Replaces: in some appropriate package?
Just removing libmpich-p4mpd1.0 does not work either.

You might want to run apt-get -f install' to correct these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libmpich-mpd1.0-dev: Depends: libmpich-mpd1.0 but it is not going to be
installed
mpich-mpd-bin: Depends: libmpich-mpd1.0 (= 1.2.5.3-4) but it is not going
to be installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify
a solution).
