The problem is it does not tell what path, which path or why path. I hadn't really ever used mserv and indeed the path to music files I entered for tests no longer exists, but to find out that this is what the question is about I had to examine the mserv.config script. The logic in mserv.config and the phrasing of the template may work somewhat reasonably during installation when the path is entered a few seconds before its existence is checked but not on upgrade many months later. -- Michał Politowski Talking has been known to lead to communication if practiced carelessly.
