MathML display is better with Pango disabled, but far from perfect. Example page is http://www.mozilla.org/projects/mathml/demo/texvsmml.xhtml The binomial coefficient isn't rendered (among others), and the whole display engine seems buggy (no proper redraws when restoring the window, page up/down doesn't update the display properly etc.).
