Package: libvlc0 Version: 0.8.6-svn20061008.debian-1 Severity: important
Hi, With libvlc0 0.8.6-svn20061008.debian-1, vlc crashes when attempting to display its video window, regardless of the video source: X Error of failed request: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) Major opcode of failed request: 2 (X_ChangeWindowAttributes) Resource id in failed request: 0xffffffff Serial number of failed request: 27 Current serial number in output stream: 28 Downgrading to 0.8.6-svn20061001.debian-4 fixes the problem. The vlc package itself is version 0.8.6-svn20061008.debian-1. I'm filing this as important rather than grave, since I'm guessing other users aren't seeing this problem...
