Ifupdown version:

Status=Not/Installed/Config-files/Unpacked/Failed-config/Half-installed
|/ Err?=(none)/Hold/Reinst-required/X=both-problems (Status,Err:

||/ Name           Version        Description
+++-==============-==============-============================================
ii ifupdown 0.6.7-0.4 high level tools to configure network
interf

Other info requested:

ls -ld /etc/network
drwxr-xr-x 7 root root 1024 2006-10-04 12:04 /etc/network

ls -l /etc/network/interfaces
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 542 2006-10-03 11:44 /etc/network/interfaces

The only thing is that this information was obtained just now when the
interface is working perfectly, rather than when the interface stopped
working (I have re-installed my system since then). It might not make a
difference since I re-installed in the same way each time, but just to
let you know.

If you need any more information then please don't hesitate to ask! I'm
afraid I'm new to Linux so don't really know what to do, but I will
happily follow instructions.

Cheers
Matt
