Hello Roberto,
the problem is still there since I did not notice any new version of the
sas2l-bin package in the meantime.
To make my system workable again I had to use the "-n 0" parameter and
everything went fine.
My mail server is using cyrus, the load is not very high, but since
there are some hundreds mail accounts on the server there are a lot of
users and I estimate around 200.000 mail checks for day (very rough
estimate).
Please tell me which other kind of details I can give you.
This is the /etc/default/saslauthd file I'm using:
START=yes
MECHANISMS="pam"
PARAMS="-n 0"
