Hi Andreas, I'm not sure, but did you try to do the thing discribed in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 (in file header) In fact, if you had already modified this file without dpkg-reconfigure, you have to do the followings : cp /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 /etc/X11/XF86Config-4.custom md5sum /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 > /var/lib/xfree86/XF86Config-4.md5sum dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86
