I rebooted my server before installing this (just in case), and it made no difference. I have tried the 6.3.0-3 you mailed me (thanks) and that has the same problem - I can't hear ogg-vorbis files. (Like you say, it's hardly likely to have made a difference, from what I saw in the changelog ;) It's bizarre (that I can't see any upgrade changes in vorbis etc) .. the ogg-vorbis files play fine remotely in another app (winamp) :| I guess I'll see whether I can find out anything more (like seeing if I can try audio on the server itself). I guess this is conclusively not an upgrade problem with the package. Many thanks for your quick responses.
