yes, but clamscan has nothing to do with clamd, and needs -data/-freshclam 
to be of any use (unless dB is eg nfs-mounted, that is).

OTOH at present to get just clamdscan one needs to install needless stuff.
I see clamscan, clamd+clamdscan as 2 different things. Deploying clamd
in a LAN would let me deploy a quick & lightweight 0 maint solution
(clamdscan) for virus checking eg. whenever stuff comes in locally (eg. 
usbkeys). Of course, I have the opt to nfs-export+mount what's needed/usr
but still think a slim standalone clamdscan .deb is a better solution.
