Package: xpdf-reader Version: 3.01-9 Severity: normal File: /usr/bin/xpdf I've always thought that xpdf does not give visual feedback of the text being selected (as a reversed color rectangle) with the mouse until the user leave the left mouse button, completing the selection.
This is not the case. In fact, if during mouse selection (i.e. after the first click and hold of the left mouse button, but before its release) the mouse cursor hit one of the border of the xpdf window, then the reversed color rectangle corresponding to the current selected area is shown and follows the cursor constantly showing it. In my opinion then this qualifies as a bug. Since xpdf is able to give feedback of the current selection it should starting doing so as soon as the user begin visually selecting stuff.
