The "Backup: " lines are generated by the jpilot-backup plugin.
You can
- remove the jpilot-backup Debian package
or
- deactivate the jpilot-backup plugin in jpilot. Go in File ->
  Preferences -> Conduits
or
- configure the jpilot-backup plugin to backup only the files you want.
  Go in Plugins -> Backup

I guess you the Backup plugin is configured to do the backup only
weekly so you only see the backup log lines only once a week.

Does that solve your problem?

bye,
