Package: ucarp Version: 1.2-1 Severity: wishlist Ucarp is great, and simple. However, I hate having to put a clear-text password as one of the arguments, as this makes the password viewable by anyone who can do a process list.
I would be happy if ucarp had a -f option which allowed you to specify a configuration file that contained the options that you wanted to use for that instance, including the password. That file could then be restricted from prying eyes view. I would be happy if there were other options as well, this just seems the most logical one that most other daemons who have faced this similar problem have taken. Thanks!
