Package: pilot-link
Version: 0.12.1-5
Severity: important

I have a Palm m100. When I attempt a direct serial hotsync, it
fails. The Palm displays this message:
  HotSync Problem
The connection between your handheld computer and the desktop was
lost. Some of your data was NOT backedc up. Please check your
  setup and try again.

The messages I see in my xterm are:

 -anarres:d> PILOTPORT=/dev/pilot1 /usr/bin/pilot-xfer -b .
Listening for incoming connection on /dev/pilot1... connected!
Error read system info on /dev/pilot1

The `connected!' happens when I press the hotsync button on my sync
cable. The `Error' happens some seconds after the failure.

It works fine with the pilot-link package from sarge; even sarge's
pilot-xfer binary run under etch works fine too.

Ian.
