Hi Martin, hi Loic!

being the gnome-mount maintainer I'm aware of this problem. Martin, you
surely remember that we already discussed this issue some time ago.
Your concerns were mostly, that reintroducing /dev/dm-* devices might
break dm/lvm related packages. Asking around on IRC the only answer I
got from DDs with lvm/dd experience was, that /dev/dm-* are not created
to avoid clutter in /dev (well, that point is surely arguable) and apps
*should* use /dev/mapper devices directly, because that was the
canonical way nowadays. I didn't get more specific answers.

Talking to hal/gnome-mount upstream (davidz) and Kay Sievers, they both
confirmed, that suppressing the creation of /dev/dm-* is broken and
should be reverted.

So, I'd recommend to remove this rule from /etc/udev/udev.rules.
Weighing a less cluttered /dev against a working hal, I definitely go
for the latter.

Cheers,
Michael
