package: libxine1 version: 1.1.2-6 severity: minor Hi!
I do not know if this concerns totem, xine or ffmpeg, but I believe this is the right address for the bug. ;) However, totem-xine does not play MS WMV 8 encoded files without this scarry w32codecs package installed. I think I have read somewhere that xine should be able to play those files using the built-in ffmpeg codecs. And what confuses me even more is that I believe that it once HAS played those files in the past, but I am not sure about this... :/ Could this have to do with xine's linking to external libavcodec? Has there anything been disabled? Well, as I said before my memories may fool me. Or maybe I have misunderstood mixed up WMV 8 and WMV 9 (although this is not supported at all, isn't it?)... What do you think about it? Nice greetings, Fabian -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
