Package: alsa-base
Version: 1.0.13-1
Severity: important
Hy, today I installed Debian SID (using & testing the Beta3 installer).
Fresh installed and after reboot, three soundcards where configured
(emu10k1, intel8x0 onboard, bt87... on my tv-card). This seems fine,
but index 0 had the "soundcard" on the tv-card. I want the emu10k1 to
be the main card with index 0.
So I added four lines to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base:
alias snd-card-0 snd-emu10k1
options snd-emu10k1 index=0
alias snd-card-1 snd-intel8x0
options snd-intel8x0 index=1
After reboot it did not work. I found another file
(/etc/modutils/alsa-base) with similar contents. So I added the same
four lines to /etc/modutils/alsa-base. After reboot it seemed working,
ma emu10k1 had index 0, the intel80x had index 1. Strange that the
tv-card did not appear at all but I did not mind.
Today after I booted it was confused again! The tv-card had index 0...
I have to add that the documentation seems to be outdated because
I tried to follow it step by step and found that it mentions non
existing file names.
Thanks.
The data below was gathered after I did a "force-unload" and a
"modprobe snd-emu10k1" to have at least my main soundcard:
