I'll try tonight. Sometimes I don't have a crash for a few days and sometimes there are three or four in a row. Culprits seem to be: 1. Evolution (just typing will do it). 2. Mozilla (haven't switched to firefox). 3. Gnome - focus or cut-and-paste in a gnome-terminal. 4. X-screensaver - once or twice system crashes while I am away. tqvm for your follow-up ... I think the problem is due to X + ATI drivers + Kernel allows write to memory that it shouldn't ... I tried etch a few months ago and it still crashed then but that would be an older kernel. -- --gh -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
